It's Christmas Eve, and we are doing the last of the prepartions for our traditional Slovak meal. Lots of pierogies, lots of cold peas, and honey-drenched oplatki. Oh, and the mushroom soup. Can't forget the mushroom soup.
The only sad moment is that we have to say good-bye to our Elf, Jingle. He will be going back to the North Pole with Santa tonight, and we won't see him again until next December 1st. We'll miss his uncanny ability to hide in a new place every night, and we'll always remember this as the year that Sara was finally old enough to hold him - Santa said so!
In honor of saying good-bye to the old and hello to the new, I will be unveiling a new blog design, site name and twitter id on New Year's Eve. I'm taking it to the next level, so-to-speak, and I can't wait to show you what I've been designing.
So raise a glass with me, whether it's a shot of whiskey or a glass of egg nog, as I thank you for being there in 2010. Cheers!
